I just got back from a trip to Portland with Allen, my best friend, and her husband and we had so much fun while we were out there! It was all about vegan food and relaxing, and I seriously needed it. We just moved a few days before and had been nonstop since so it was so lovely to have a couple of days of doing nothing other than taking it REAL easy.

Our first stop was actually in Auburn, Washington for a Maren Morris and Nial Horan concert. I only really know a few songs from them both, but Golshan (aka. the bestie) is a huge Maren Morris fan, so we had to make it happen! Not gonna lie, when Nial performed "This Town" I was singing along SO loud- lol! Obsessed with that song- it's too cute!

After spending the night in Auburn, the real fun started! We had heard so many amazing things about all of the vegan food options in Portland, so we had a list of the top places we had to try out and did just that.

WHAT I WORE:

To be honest, I sort of knew Portland was laidback and more easy going but I didn't expect myself to feel as carefree as I did- lol! The only time I looked put together was when we went to an all vegan bar.

I saw this cropped sweater on Urban Outfitter's website and fell in love with the 70's vibe it gave. I decided to pair it with these white jeans I got from ASOS to give it more of an updated look instead of styling it with regular blue wash denim.

To finish off the look, I grabbed my current favorite shoes which are these block heel sandals. They're seriously SO comfy and go with every outfit.

WHAT I ATE:

The first place I'd recommend is Homegrown Smoker. It is a vegan BBQ restaurant that has everything you could ever want. From ribs, chicken wings to mac & cheese your options are seriously endless. I suggest getting a bunch of different options so you can taste them all! Oh, and I just remembered another thing you HAVE to try, the deep fried pickles! They were seriously the best ones I've ever had. Sidenote: the customer service was incredible too!

off the griddle, Portland, Oregon, what to eat, vegan food spot, berry waffles, vegan scrambled eggs, port\land foodie, vegan blogger, vegan couple,

Next spot for delicious brunch is Off the Griddle. I seriously crave their Berry Waffles and freshly made biscuits. I'm such a "breakfast-for-every-meal" type of person that I was tempted to go back for dinner. Their tofu scramble was also yummy!
