I had heard of Sunday Riley for a while, and I love how they're a cruelty-free brand, but I was reluctant to try any of their products out. Not only is the price tag is higher than I usually spend on skincare, but I also found myself a little hesitant to use anything new on my skin. My skincare routine has always been super important to me, but since I have sensitive skin, my face can get easily irritated and breakout. So basically I have been sticking with the same products for a while, being afraid to try something new. But since turning 28, I really wanted to try skincare products that had anti-aging properties along with other important benefits I felt my skin needed.
I decided to finally give it a shot and buy one of the Sunday Riley kits they sell on Sephora. The kit included their Luna Sleeping Night Oil and C.E.O. C + E antiOXIDANT Protect + Repair Moisturizer. I started using both products at night only- I know the moisturizer you can use day and night, but I decided to keep it as my nighttime cream instead. Would you guys believe me if I told you I saw MAJOR results in a few days?! I truly did! Not only did I see a difference, but I got Allen to use it too, and he noticed a difference too in both his skin and mine- if a guy can see a difference, that just says a lot!
How I Use Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil
I start off by washing my face with my cleanser as I normally do and then apply about 2-3 drops of the Luna Sleeping Night Oil on my face. Once the oil is on, I lightly begin spreading it all across my face with gentle patting motions. I found this way it distributes the product evenly, and I don't waste any product. As you're applying the oil the color changes from a deep blue to clear- so cool! Whatever residue is leftover on my hands, I gently pat on my neck and move onto the next step.
How I Use Sunday Riley C.E.O. C + E antiOXIDANT Protect + Repair Moisturizer
Like I mentioned before, you can totally use the C.E.O. Moisturizer day and night, but I only use it at nighttime- since my day cream has SPF, I prefer using that one instead. Once I've applied the Luna Sleeping Night Oil, I take the moisturizer and pat that on gently all over my face as well. The first few times I used the cream, it left a tingling sensation - especially around my nose area - but that hasn't happened since!
Even though my skin tends to hate heavier skincare products like oils and thick creams, it has been loving these two products! My skin is much more even in texture/tone and I've experienced zero breakouts due to sensitivity. When I wake up in the morning, my face has a certain glow that was never there before! Another big bonus is how amazing my makeup applies to my face now. So much more smooth and radiant.
Ever since trying out these two products, I have purchased them both in full-sized, and I seriously couldn't be happier. I have totally added Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil and their C.E.O. C + E antiOXIDANT Protect + Repair Moisturizer to my permanent skincare routine and I'm so excited to try out more products from Sunday Riley. If you have any recommendations, let me know!
